Belgian poet Laurence Vielle wins the 2026 Prix Apollinaire
The prize, often described as the Goncourt of poetry, honours her body of work as her collection Les vies de Jésus appears from Abrapalabra.
The Prix Apollinaire 2026, which Livres Hebdo describes as the equivalent of the Goncourt for poetry, has gone to Laurence Vielle for her overall body of work, timed to the publication of her collection Les vies de Jésus with Abrapalabra.
The jury's découverte prize, awarded to newer voices, was given this year ex aequo to two poets: Éléonore Ghiuritan, for En pièce (LansKine), and Hortense Raynal, for Botte de foin suivi de J'affirme (Cambourakis), according to Livres Hebdo.
