The jury of the Prix du Premier Roman and the Prix du Premier roman étranger has announced its first selection for 2026, according to Livres Hebdo. Twelve books make up this initial list, split between French-language debuts and first novels translated from other languages.
Livres Hebdo did not publish the titles or authors included in this first cut. A second, narrower selection is expected on 6 October, ahead of the prize ceremony scheduled for early November.
