Georgi Gospodinov wins the 2026 Prix Jean Monnet de littérature européenne

Georgi Gospodinov has been named laureate of the Prix Jean Monnet de littérature européenne 2026, according to Livres Hebdo. The prize recognises his novel Le jardinier et la mort, published in French by Gallimard.

Gospodinov will receive the award on 21 November, during the 39th Festival des Littératures Européennes Cognac, Livres Hebdo reports.
