Gouincourt Prize Announces First Francophone Selection for 2026
The prize devoted to lesbian literature, launched last year, has unveiled its francophone selection ahead of a ceremony on November 10 in Paris, and is expanding this year with a new category for translated literature.

The Gouincourt prize has revealed its first selection for 2026, according to Livres Hebdo. The award, created in 2025 and dedicated to lesbian literature, will be presented on November 10 at La Bellevilloise, in Paris.
Livres Hebdo's report does not list the titles or authors retained in this francophone selection, so none can be given here.
This year the prize is also expanding beyond French-language work. A companion prize for foreign literature has been added, and its own first selection is due to be announced on October 15, Livres Hebdo reports.
