The National Book Foundation announced the finalists for the 2026 National Book Awards on Tuesday, according to Literary Hub, covering the five usual categories: Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Translated Literature and Young People's Literature.
In fiction, finalists include novels by Edwidge Danticat and Valeria Luiselli, according to The New York Times. In translated literature, a finalist list includes Karl Ove Knausgaard's latest book, per the same report.
