Noham Selcer wins the Prix Alain Spiess for a second novel
Midgar, published by Gallimard, takes the tenth edition of a prize dedicated to second novels; the award will be presented next month at a Vincennes bookshop.

Noham Selcer has won the Prix Alain Spiess du deuxième roman for 2026 with his novel Midgar, published by Gallimard, according to Livres Hebdo. This is the tenth edition of the prize, which singles out second novels, a category that often struggles to draw the attention a debut or a later, established work attracts.
The award will be presented on Wednesday 18 November at 7:30pm at the Librairie Millepages in Vincennes, Livres Hebdo reports.
