Polina Panassenko wins the 2026 Prix littéraire Le Monde

Polina Panassenko has been awarded the Prix littéraire Le Monde 2026 for her second novel, À voix haute, published by Éditions de l'Olivier, according to Livres Hebdo. The prize was announced Thursday evening, September 3, at the Hôtel de Massa in Paris, seat of the Société des gens de lettres, Le Monde reports.
According to Le Monde, the novel follows a quest for truth through the silences of the author's family history and, more broadly, of Russia's history in the 2010s. Panassenko, who is of Russian origin, builds the fiction around those gaps and unspoken episodes.
She succeeds Laurent Mauvignier, who won the prize the previous year, Livres Hebdo notes.
